HelloTeam

How do I move from Pipedrive?

In Pipedrive you export People to CSV and load them in HelloTeam under Contacts → Import; the people export carries the organization name, so companies are created too. Deals are a separate file, loaded under Deals → Import.

Updated:

Moving from Pipedrive

  1. Pipedrive: Contacts → People → the list view's three-dot menu → Export → CSV.
  2. The export contains the view's columns: add email, phone and organization to the view before exporting.
  3. Here: Contacts → Import.

Which column goes where

The names below are Pipedrive's default English field labels; an account set to another language exports them translated.

Pipedrive columns and HelloTeam fields
Pipedrive columnHelloTeam fieldNote
NameNot imported directlyFull name in one column. If First name and Last name are in the view, use those; otherwise map Name to last name.
First nameFirst name
Last nameLast name
EmailEmail address: unique within the companySeveral addresses separated by semicolons: the first one counts.
PhonePhone
OrganizationCompany name: created if it does not exist
Job titleJob title
LabelTags, comma separatedComma or semicolon separated, and a tag that does not exist yet is created.
OwnerOwner's email address: the colleague must already have an accountIt wants an email address, not a name: Pipedrive exports the name here, so replace it with the colleague's address, or leave it out and assign in bulk.
NotesNotes

What a CSV does not carry

  • The Deals export is a separate file: load it under Deals → Import, or through POST /api/v1/deals. Stage history cannot be moved.
  • Activities and mail stay behind. From the moment you connect the mailbox, new correspondence files itself.

Questions

Can Pipedrive's stages be mapped?

After picking a module template, rename the stages to your Pipedrive names: order and probability are yours to set.

Can I import on the free plan?

Yes: CSV import and export are for everybody, on the free plan too.
